Fear of the Dribble

You may think I am referring to the current political craziness that hopefully will end after tomorrow. I am not. Today is the first day of National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWrimo and I wanted to let everyone know that I have committed to do this. That means I am going to be very busy producing 50,000 words over the next few weeks. If I seem to have dropped from the blogosphere, this is the reason.

Diagnosis:  Fear of the Dribble. That is the fear that keeps me checking my Facebook and email. It drives me to catch up on every blog I follow and many that I don't. Anything but actually writing in fear that what I write will only be dribble.

Treatment: National Novel Writing Month- Writing 50,000 words with wild abandon with no editing, rewriting or judgments.

Prognosis: Recovery is possible if treated with patience and compassion. Strict adherence to a month of unbridled writing should prove to be a good cure of the annoying condition.

Thanks for your support and understanding. Unfortunately, I have no willpower and will be forced to block myself from the internet except to participate in NaNo. Good Luck to all those that are embarking on the same journey.
