The Thursday Three

I'm so impressed with the blogs I keep stumbling upon and thought I would start spotlighting some of them so you can be impressed, too. Each week I will choose three new blogs (by new I mean those that have started in the last year)  that I think have a unique take on something, make me laugh or are just plain awesome.  I will also highlight what I will call  the "oldy but goody" of the week. This will be a blog that continues to deliver when it comes to content, always fresh, interesting or the my-week-isn't-complete-unless-I-stop-there blog.

Feel free to tell me about a new blog you've found or one that you just can't live without. Cyberspace is so vast and I don't want to miss anything!

Here are three new blogs worth clicking into:
Novel and Nouveau by Barbara Watson
When you're in a foreign country there is nothing better than finding someone that speaks your language. Blogging is still fairly new to me so when I find someone that gets me and I get them it's magic. Barbara has thoughtful and interesting posts that always make me feel right at home.

Bookish Escape: My Staircase to Heaven by Fiona Chan
I love book blogs. You know the ones that review books that you ultimately add to your To-Be-Read list. I get all giddy when I add another to my list. It also makes me read faster and more often so I can get to the next awesome book. Fiona does a great job explaining what she liked or didn't like about a book. I like how she comments on the cover design. I may have to steal that idea and incorporate it in my reviews.

Wistful Nebulae by M.Pax
Science fiction to the max! Besides all the positive motivation Pax includes free downloads to several of her novels. I really enjoyed the Science Fiction Summer Lineup post. I can't share this blog without including Wicked Writers, a blog that M.Pax runs with several other new authors.  Today she's posted a wonderful piece on character development. Good stuff!

And for the oldy but goody:

Bookends LLC, A Literary Agency by Jessica Faust
This is one of my favorite agent blogs. Faust's posts are always brief but chuck-full of good information.  I especially love Workshop Wednesday's that takes a real query and critiques it, sometimes line by line. This is one you'll want to subscribe to so you don't miss any of the posts!

What new blogs have you found?

  1. I say, that: Bookends LLC, A Literary Agency by Jessuca Faust blog is interesting. My spouse is working on a YA historical novel and I showed her (the Education Tipster) this.
    Thank You for spotlighting it.

  2. Thanks for the plug, Pam. Very lovely and generous of you. I don't run Wicked Writers, though. In fact, I'm the newest kid at that school. :) Will have to check out the other blogs.

  4. Mary's blog is awesome! (M Pax) We've followed one another for a long time.
That's really cool you highlight other blogs. I try to do it often as well.

  5. Thank you for taking the time to do this. For introducing your readers to new blogs they might find fun and interesting. And for giving recognition to other bloggers. I love your blog, too and it deserves kudos.
