I'm so impressed with the blogs I keep stumbling upon and thought I would start spotlighting some of them so you can be impressed, too. Each week I will choose three new blogs (by new I mean those that have started in the last year) that I think have a unique take on something, make me laugh or are just plain awesome. I will also highlight what I will call the "oldy but goody" of the week. This will be a blog that continues to deliver when it comes to content, always fresh, interesting or the my-week-isn't-complete-unless I stop there blog.

This blog is for a music studio in Atlanta, Georgia. While the post initially is about singing the correlations can't be ignored. Art is art, after all. When she says, "But, after the vocal work is done, by all means, say something." I am reminded that the point of art is expression whether you're writing, singing, or painting.
Magic and The Muse by Annie Crawford
Traveling to new and exotic places is a passion of mine, not that I've had much of an opportunity to do so myself, but I love reading about someone's adventures. Annie's series on her trip to Italy is engaging. Her prose marinates in juicy images you'll have to taste to believe.
The Science Of Story by David Baboulene
What attracted me to this blog was the authors article on subtext. You can read the entire article here. If you can wade through the shameless self-promotion, he actually has some great ideas for improving your writing. And besides I think we writers need to get over being uncomfortable with self-promotion, because now more than ever authors have to be responsible for their own publicity.

Miss Snark's First Victim by Authoress
This was one of the first "writing" blogs I found and it hasn't failed to deliver. Loaded with critiques, contests and query advice, Authoress always has something to think about. Her current series of Middle Grade Are You Hooked is awesome. A great forum for new and published writers.
